IWeb and Mac App Store I've a quick question. I've noticed that if you purchase iLife '11, you get GarageBand, iPhoto, and iMovie. IWeb isn't mentioned but I hear that it is also on the install disk (but iWeb won't have any updates this time around).
That being said, when I check the Mac App Store for iLife '11, they break iLife into three different packages (GarageBand, iPhoto, and iMovie). They don't mention iWeb at all.
It appears that they either forgot about iWeb as an app or will be addressing it as a package/app on the store at a later time. Is my only option to visit a local Apple Store to purchase iLife '11?. Asked by fn from Gainesville. Jan 22, 2011.
Best Answer: I was having a similar problem with iDVD: I recently bought a new MacBook Pro and it came pre-installed with iLife '11 - minus iWeb and iDVD. When I went to burn a movie to DVD, I found that I could not do it on my brand new computer. Such a disappointment! I called Apple Care and found out they recommend going with a 3rd party software because Apple has discontinued making/updating iWeb and iDVD. If you have an install disk for iLife you are able to download iWeb and iDVD. In the long run, though, you might be better off with a 3rd party program that does the same thing. The rep from Apple Care said these 2 programs have not been updated in 3 years.
